Is everybody ready for an awesome long holiday weekend?! Here at The Boastful Host, we sure are! We're kicking things off with a super festive (and super easy!) Red, White, and Blue Sangria. This recipe takes no time to put together, and will allow you to spend all of you time outside enjoying the weather, not stuck inside feeling forced to be the mixologist for your friends and family!
For this theme driven cocktail choice, you'll need RED ripe strawberries, fresh WHITE peaches, and a big handful of yummy BLUEberries, in addition to a nice dry white wine (nothing too fancy needed), peach nectar (or even just some peach schnapps!), and some club soda to lighten it up a bit so you can safely drink these by the pool all afternoon.

This recipe is really a no recipe, recipe, so don't get too hung up on getting the amounts just right. Slice a handful of sweet strawberries and slice them up into quarters or a little smaller if you have huge berries. Next cut your peach in half, remove the pit, and slice. And lastly, wash a handful of blueberries. If you're like me and are feeling like you really want to give them some extra love, slice some in half...I feel you get more of the blueberry flavor in your cocktail. Next step is easy; dump all of the fruit into your pitcher. Fill with 1 bottle of dry white wine, add some peach nectar (approximately 1 cup) or peach schnapps for flavor and sweetness, and let rest in the fridge for an hour so all of the sweet fruitiness comes together. When you're ready to drink, fill with ice and pour. Be sure to spoon some fruit into every glass so everyone gets a little treat with their drink!
No matter what you're drinking this weekend, The Boastful Host hopes you have a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July weekend! If you try this sangria or have a recipe of your own that you'd like to share, take a photo and share it with us. We're always looking to test out new cocktail recipes!
