It was a sunny day on Sat. Apr. 8th in Augusta, I mean at the South Wall Banquet Hall for Master Hunter's first birthday party where the yellow flag was flying high. The green jacket was ready to be worn by the birthday boy, and daddy was dressed as his caddy. Guests checked in where they received a pin, guessed how many tees were in the bottle, and decorated a cap to protect them from the glowing sun on the golf course.
The Boastful Host spent many months planning for this day. We wanted to bring in specific elements for a fun day for all the kids attending the party, one which included a true game of golf. What better way than to bring in a miniature golf course?! Nine holes of golf were set-up with golf balls, clubs, and score cards to use. When I say that the kids enjoyed the miniature golf, right up until the minute that it was packed up, would be an understatement! If you want kids to be entertained at a party, this is a great activity and really set the stage for our vision.
When watching any golf game, we know the leaderboard is an important factor. Of course our Master Hunter was on top of the leaderboard along with some of the hosts favorite golfers. The pallet that we used to create the leaderboard, was a nice touch that we placed near the golfing area of the party and was also used as a photo prop.
Unfortunately the birthday boy woke up that morning with a fever, but in most of the pictures you would never know (as you can see!) and he still played an amazing round of golf.
